Mickey
and Kathy Perry have endorsed Scott Walton to be the next sheriff of
Rogers County. Mickey is a 40-year veteran of local law enforcement.
“Scott is a man of real integrity,” Mickey said, “I've known Scott
for over thirty-years and I know he's the right man to be the
sheriff of Rogers County. He's an excellent police officer, a great
friend and has a wonderful family reputation.”
Mickey Perry began his career in law enforcement in the late 1960's
during a time of great social unrest and a time when police
departments throughout the country were in a state of transition.
“I've seen a lot of things through law enforcement. I've experienced
a lot of change. I've seen law enforcement officers come and go and
I've seen what works and what fails,” Perry said, “Scott has what it
takes to make things work and I support him one hundred percent.”
Scott says he is very proud to have Mickey and Kathy Perry's
endorsement. “Being endorsed by a law enforcement icon like Mickey
is a great feeling. Rose and I are grateful for Mickey and Kathy's
friendship throughout all of these years and I look forward to
meeting his expectations when I am sheriff,” said Walton.
“Kathy and I have no doubt that Rogers County will be in good hands
if Scott Walton is in the sheriff's seat,” Perry said, “...after
40-year I'd like to think I know a little something about Rogers
County law enforcement and when November comes Kathy and I will be
voting for Scott Walton.”
