Oklahoma Representative Lucky Lamons has endorsed Scott Walton to be the next
sheriff of Rogers County.
Lamons retired
from the Tulsa Police Department and sought election to the Oklahoma
State House of Representatives to serve the 66th
Congressional District. Elected into the 49th Legislature
and continuing to serve to present day, Lucky Lamons has been a
sound voice for law enforcement.
Before retiring
from a 21-year long and distinguished career as a policeman, Lucky
served the Tulsa Police Department in a familiar seat to Walton; the
public face of the TPD.
“I had the
privilege of working with Scott Walton for over 21 years. He's an
excellent police officer and a trusted friend. I wholeheartedly
endorse Scott Walton for Rogers County Sheriff,” wrote Lamons.
Lamons earned
several degrees by simultaneously serving as a police officer and
studying to earn a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from
Northeastern State University, a Master's Degree in Public
Administration from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master's
Degree in Human Relations, also from the University of Oklahoma.
Lamons serves on
several committees in the House including the Energy Committee, the
Energy and Technology Committee, Government Modernization, Agency
Review & Administrative Rules Committee, and the Health Committee.
Lamons also
serves on several boards including the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation, The American Red Cross, Neighbors Along the Line,
Oklahoma Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Sunoco Citizens Advisory
Board, the Board of The Oklahoma Academy, and the OSU Center for
Health Sciences Rural Health Advisory Board.
“Not
only as a State Representative but also as a former police officer, I know Scott is the
best man for this job and if he's elected I think the people of
Rogers County can rest assured that they've elected a man of
integrity who is dedicated to serving them in the best way
possible,” Lamons said.
