Before being elected to her Council seat, Cowan worked at WilTel Communications and Hewlett-Packard as an engineer. In describing Scott Walton, Cara reflects on her first-hand experience with Scott working in the community both as a volunteer and as a community organization leader. She understands Scott has proven himself ready to step into the role of Rogers County Sheriff with a calm demeanor and consistent logic. As a fourth generation Rogers County resident and a Cherokee Tribal citizen, Scott understands Rogers County.
